I want my paintings to have energy. If they have energy, then I feel something from them. And if I feel something from them, then I think other people will also. I want people to be visually turned on by my paintings.
David Horwitz is a Philadelphia based self-taught painter. His work primarily concentrates on portraits where he uses bold color to depict the expression of his subjects. He has exhibited in Philadelphia at City Arts Salon (two person show), Cerulean Arts, The Plastic Club and Da Vinci Art Alliance and on Cape Cod at The Provincetown Art Association and Museum. In addition, David is an active seller of his paintings on the sidewalks of Philadelphia where he can be found most Saturdays on Rittenhouse Square. His paintings are in homes in Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Chicago and Columbia in South America.
